Job Title: Engineering Manager
Location: Selby/York Area
Salary: £55,000 – £60,000

I’m currently recruiting for an Engineering Manager on behalf of a well-established and financially sound food manufacturing business located just outside Selby/York, whom we have successfully supported over the years. This SME, known for its clean, well-maintained facility, has recently invested over £2 million into their operations, with more exciting projects planned.

Reporting to the Site Factory Manager, you will have full autonomy to lead a dedicated team of four engineers. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to either step up into a management position or continue your career as an experienced Engineering Manager. You’ll focus on driving efficiency, leading key projects, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the engineering team, ensuring effective task delegation and performance.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and improvement of manufacturing processes.
• Manage internal and external projects from planning to execution.
• Ensure site compliance with all relevant regulations and maintain a strong focus on safety and sustainability.
• Provide regular updates to senior management and drive continuous improvement.

What you’ll have:

• Relevant experience in engineering, with the ambition to step up or a proven track record as an Engineering Manager.
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development and project management.
• Solid understanding of HSE compliance, PPM schedules, and cost management.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
