Overview

A large manufacturer in the Cheshire area are growing and are looking to add an Engineering Supervisor to their engineering team on site. This role will give you the opportunity to manage and oversee a team of engineers across maintenance and projects.

As an engineering supervisor, you will be responsible for the day to day management of a team of engineers as well as maintaining some hands-on responsibilities as you lead from the front. This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineering supervisor to transition over in to a growing company and site or for someone.

Responsibilities for the Engineering Supervisor

• Scheduling of proactive maintenance for the engineering team.
• Reactive breakdown management and response.
• Managing development and progression plans of engineers on site.
• Managing the daily engineering meeting to discuss performance and ongoing work. 
• Working across electrical and mechanical faults and maintenance when necessary.
• Working on Engineering projects (e.g. commissioning, installations, relocations)
• Identifying and implementing improvements covering both processes machine output
• Adhering to site Health & safety rules and legislation on site

Requirements for the Engineering Supervisor

• Time-served / recognised apprenticeship (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering subject
• Experience working in a similar senior level role at engineering shift manager or engineering supervisor / engineering team leader, ideally in a similar industry
• Ability to and experience of working to a fast pace, ideally confident in a manufacturing environment.
