The Gig

We need someone to support the Health & Safety Manager keep the site in line with the latest legislation and best practices. This isn’t about standing on a soapbox and barking orders – it’s about collaborating with teams, making sure they get it, and most importantly, driving a positive safety culture.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Auditing and inspections. Regularly. If there’s a risk, you’ll find it.
• Risk assessments. Fire, manual handling, COSHH, noise – you’ll ensure these are all up to date and relevant.
• Contractor management. From permits to PPE, you’ll be the go-to person ensuring every contractor on-site knows the rules.
• Accident investigations. A thorough approach to every accident and near miss – all properly documented and actionable.
• Training and awareness. Not just ticking the box – delivering training that actually changes behaviors.
• Continual improvement. ISO45001 isn’t just a badge – it’s something you’ll help us live and breathe. You’ll have a big hand in external audits too.

Background?
