I am recruiting on behalf of a multi- site client in Cambridgeshire who are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Development Technologist to join their team, a leader in the food sector. In this role, you will drive the development of cutting-edge products that delight consumers and set industry benchmarks.

What You’ll Do

• Lead Product Development: Manage end-to-end development projects, from concept to commercialisation, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and market trends.
• Innovate: Experiment with ingredients, formulations, and processes to create products that stand out for their quality, taste, and innovation.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with marketing, procurement, quality assurance, and production teams to deliver products that are both feasible and scalable.
• Problem-Solve: Tackle technical challenges head-on, optimising recipes and processes for efficiency and consistency.
• Market Insight: Stay ahead of industry trends, consumer demands, and regulatory changes to keep their product range competitive and compliant.

What They’re Looking For

• Experience: A few years in food product development, preferably within multi-component food manufacturing environments.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of food science, ingredients, and processing techniques. 
• Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical thinker with a hands-on approach to solving technical challenges.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external partners.
