This is the opportunity to join one of the UK’s largest and most respected food manufacturing companies working as part of their bust distribution and transport team.

While it’s not the largest of hubs, it is certainly a key, busy operation, connecting all their manufacturing sites to their customers.

It’s a role that will give you autonomy and demands an analytical, diligent Shift Manager to manage the team of 15-20 and ensure the goods are delivered on time, but more importantly, your drivers are safe and compliant.

Being a people person is key for this role, you’ll be focussed on developing your immediate team around you, succession planning and ensuring everyone is skilled up.

While you won’t be the one driving the 15-20 arctics going out of the site, it would be beneficial if you had a CPC or HGC license, but certainly not essential.

You’ll need a background as a Transport Shift Manager, ideally in an ambient, chilled or frozen food environment, be detailed and thorough in your work, with a desire to deliver a great shift every time you turn up.
