Automation Engineering Manager

Monday - Friday Days shift (37.5 hours)

Overview

A major food manufacturer are looking to add to their successful engineering team by hiring an Automation Engineering Manager. In this role, you will be part of a modern and expanding site in a key role for the team. As an Automation Engineering Manager, you will manage a team of controls engineers as well as head up and lead projects and maintenance work on site. Working with the maintenance, production and operations team, you will be a key player in ensuring the factory is running up to speed and production levels are maintained. 

Responsibilities for the Automation Engineering Manager

• Managing and overseeing the work of a team of controls and automation engineers
• Maintaining existing controls systems on site
• Managing project work and upgrades to controls systems
• Electrical Duty Holder responsibility 
• Working with the wider management team to ensure overall engineering targets are being met and achieved

Requirements for the Automation Engineering Manager

• Time-served / recognised apprenticeship (or equivalent) in a relevant electrical engineering subject
• Experience working in a controls position with some management responsibility
• Food / FMCG or manufacturing experience
