Category Technical Manager (Meat/Seafood)
Day 330 of lockdown.
As I’m writing this, it is 17.34 on the 12th March 2021.
I’m in my pyjamas. Are they on early, tonight? Or are they on late, from yesterday? It’s all a blur.
Food ran out days ago, and I can’t remember the last time we had fresh toilet paper.
If you’re reading this then it’s probably too late.
Or you’re a technical person looking at job ads.
Earlier today I was briefed on a new technical role…a faint glimmer of hope to keep me going.
It’s with a new client of ours – they’re very cool, and modern, and forward-thinking. And are their own brand without the pressures of retail customers.
The business itself is likely very different to the majority of places you’ve been and is one of the most exciting brands out there when it comes to food. If you’re on the up in your career and want to be working in a business on the same trajectory then this is the place to be.
They need someone (potentially you, reader…) to take ownership of this particular category and lead it from a technical perspective. There will be multiple sites to get involved on and a supplier base that you will be getting around regularly to audit and keep in line with the relevant standards. You’ll also be leading the NPD process.
There’s tonnes to talk about on this one, but my ink is about to run out so please call.
Send help… or your CV.
