One of the up and coming manufacturing companies in the area are looking for a Shift Engineering Manager to join their team and help to manage day-to-day operations of the engineering function on site.
Working on a panama shift pattern of days ONLY. This role will help to shape the engineering strategy as the site undertakes large investment to ensure it is having a positive impact on business performance as well as working in harmony with all other teams on site ensuring optimal performance is achieved. Typical duties could include day to day management maintenance (proactive and reactive) and the PPM scheduling, asset care strategy, project management and continuous improvements on site while also still being hands on within the team.
Reporting directly to the engineering manager, you will have a direct affect the success of the business and be a key team member whilst leading from the front and helping to develop the whole engineering team on site.
With an emphasis placed on culture on site, a main goal will be to ensure this is maintained and new ideas to improve this are always welcomed. The site is currently undertaking some extensive investment and this position will form part of the expanded team going forward.
Working in the food industry is fast paced and ever-changing so you'll be kept on your toes. This role is ideal for someone looking to join a challenging environment where they can utilise their skillset across both engineering and people management.
To be a good fit for this role you will need to have experience working in a shift manager / team leader position. You need to be comfortable managing a team of engineers across mechanical and electrical engineering while also still being very hands on. Ideally, you will have worked in the food, FMCG of a manufacturing industry as well. If you are a time served engineer with further level 3 supporting qualifications then this is ideal. Any supporting qualifications across engineering, management and health and safety (e.g. IOSH/NEBOSH) are also advantageous.
