A major player in the food manufacturing industry are looking for an Engineering Shift Manager to join their team and oversee day to day engineering operations on site.
This role will cover maintenance planning and scheduling, breakdown response management, continuous improvement and project work as well as managing and helping to train apprentices. You will be a key member of the team working closely with senior management to ensure optimal perfomance is achieved.
With the ability to influence how the department is run, you'll have a direct impact on the success of the business and be a key team member. With an emphasis placed on culture on site, a main goal will be to ensure this is maintained and new ideas to improve this are always welcomed.
Working in the food industry is fast paced and ever-changing so you'll be kept on your toes. This role is ideal for someone looking to join a challenging environment where they can utilise their skillset across both engineering and people management.

To be a good fit for this role you will need to have experience working in a engineering management position, either as a supervisor, team leader or shift manager. You will need to be comfortable managing a team of engineers across mechanical and electrical engineering and managing site engineering operations. Ideally, you will have worked in the food, FMCG of a manufacturing industry as well. If you are a time served engineer with further C&G qualifications then this is desirable. Any supporting qualifications across engineering, management and health and safety (e.g. IOSH/NEBOSH) are also advantageous.
