Who remembers that feeling when you buy a new car, seeing it come out of the showroom all sparkling and gleaming? You want it stay like that for ever! Some people manage it, some don’t (myself included).
I am currently working with a food manufacturer in the Kent area who are on the lookout for an experienced Facilities Manager who can keep their shiny new factory in tip top condition. This will be a great opportunity for someone who wants to jump into a role within a brand-new facility!
Within this role you will be responsible for making sure that the site is fully compliant and to drive a positive H&S culture make sure the site is always audit ready. You will have previous experience within facilities management and environmental H&S and hold a NEBOSH and a Lead Auditor qualification, either BRC or ISO.
You will be a strong communicator and be able to effectively talk with people at all levels within the business. Perception will be a key skill here to see accidents/risks before they happen. You will preferably have experience within a food manufacturing company, but other manufacturing industries will be considered but have working knowledge of BRC, ISO45001 and COP’s.
You will be responsible for all aspects of the building including plant services maintenance, site maintenance, office and welfare facilities, site security and community welfare.
You will be someone who is able to forge new relationships both from inside the company and with external agencies, suppliers and contractors. You will be responsible for compiling reports to the line manager regarding SLT on KPI’s, legal, incidents and best practice changes.
This role really is a good in-depth role and with-it being brand new, it’s crying out for someone to come and make it their own!
