A new Wholesale & Foodservice Trader opportunity has arisen to join a very successful, spirited and growing Company to sell fresh produce to wholesale and foodservice customers and increase the customer base to further develop the business.

Key responsibilities;

  • Sell fresh produce lines to existing wholesale and food service customers in order to meet the agreed sales targets
  • Identify new potential growers/suppliers
  • Identify and secure new wholesale and foodservice customers, in order to meet the agreed sales targets for new customers
  • Build relationships with existing and new customers to assist in ensuring the business is the supplier of choice
  • Liaise with the Marketing Director in promoting product lines to support the sales function
  • Monitor and report to the Directors on market trends and potential new product streams to assist in the overall development of the business
  • Produce a monthly activity report for the Directors to provide key management information on sales
  • Participate as a member of the team to assist in developing the overall business

My Client is looking for a fresh produce trading manager well connected in wholesale and foodservice to hit the ground running from day one – you will need to have sound commercial acumen, advanced negotiating skills and cost awareness, bundles of initiative and want to make your own stamp - helping to shape this evolving business and continue their impressive growth.

You will need to have a proven background in a similar fresh produce trading into wholesale and foodservice role where you have increased sales and maximised profits, a seasoned negotiator and incredibly self motivated with an established book of go to contacts.  A natural influencer who is highly numerical, strong IT skills including Excel, and a driving licence and access to a car is also crucial.

If you have the proven ability to sell fresh produce to wholesale and foodservice customers, driving sales and increasing customer base and managing your growers, suppliers and customers effectively and are excited by the opportunity to drive the direction of a business for which this role will play a crucial part, then get in touch today.
