Know your jowls from your hocks? Your belly from your sirloin?
Well that's what's needed here. Meat through and through. Maybe you come from a butchery background? Maybe you've worked in countless abattoirs? Perhaps you've even managed a meat supply base on the retail side? It doesn't matter how you got the knowledge, as long as it's there to share, educate and train!
You'll be coming in to work at group level, covering 3 sites, ensuring that any raw or cooked meat achieved the desired standards that meet the customer expectations both in terms of quality and safety.
On top of that you'll also be imparting your meat wisdom with the intake teams on the individual sites through training methods, a 'go-to' expert for all meat related training. Some form of training/coaching experience would be great. You'll also manage the development of meat intake specs from initial brief through to completion.
Although you won't be managing anyone directly, it's vital that you don't just hide under a rock and have the people skills to be able to build and develop key relationships with multiple functions, NPD, Group Technical, Site ops, planning etc etc.
There'll also be a large amount of project work, looking at sustainability, continuous & quality improvements, and of course it goes without saying that there will be some domestic and international travel.
