Peterborough / Huntingdon

Looking at a business with huge capacity for further development and demand for their products and a key hire to enable this will be the appointment for a superb HR BP.

In this position you’ll be using these qualities daily.

What’s it all about?...

Our HR BP will be central in achieving plans to rapidly grow headcount and change in the operation. Working with HRD you’ll be looking at what can & needs to happen with our prized people.

This is an incredibly fast paced business, with approx. 1200 staff on site. With new business & revenue streams being opened we are looking to increase turn over by approx a third within the next 12-24 months.

Once you’ve got to grips with how the business operates you’ll be in a position to guide & action the HR strategy to achieve the above.

Change will be a key feature here, questioning traditions, habits and the why’s and what’s to enable positive results.

You’ll be working across a variety of functions & building relationships with Senior Managers and Directors across the business.

Key areas of responsibility: -

  • Providing HR guidance and support to line managers at all levels including manufacturing, commercial and support functions.
  • Taking the strategic HR lead in project teams
  • Manage HR KPI's and analysing trends and metrics across the sites.
  • Building positive and constructive relationships with works counsel representation, undertaking negotiations and securing agreements.
  • Ensuring all relevant employment law requirements, (including diversity, disability, age and sexual orientation) are fully understood and adhered to through the provision of sound and expert advice to line managers and employees in all countries.
  • Ensuring all employee engagement activity is effectively implemented and followed up.
  • Developing relevant organisation structures to support line managers and advance the needs of the business.
  • Supporting line managers in the implementation of effective talent management, development plans and succession planning.

 

The right person:-

This is a fast paced and changeable environment and you’ll be someone who thrives on variety, I can guarantee on a daily or weekly basis you’ll find something that needs your attention and key to your success will be your foresight.

You’ll be confident in building rapport & negotiating situations with co-workers, able to listen & engage at all levels.

  • FMCG or a fast-paced manufacturing industry
  • Experience in HR BP role or similar on a 24/7 operation
  • Hands on style and logical approach to problem solving
