Mechanical Fitter (Engineer) - Manufacturing

4 on 4 off (Nights and days)

Overview

This is a great opportunity for a mechanical fitter looking to work a 4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern. One of the areas well know manufacturers are looking to recruit a mechanical fitter and are ready to hire immediately. As a mechanical fitter, you will be joining an experienced and supportive team who have a strong track-record. You will be a key team player in ensuring the factory is running up to speed and production levels are maintained.

Responsibilities for the Mechanical Fitter

• Proactive maintenance and site PMs
• Reactive maintenance and responding to breakdowns quickly
• Working across mechanical faults and maintenance
• Working on Engineering projects (e.g. commissioning, installations, relocations)
• Identifying and implementing improvements covering both processes machine output
• Adhering to site Health & safety rules and legislation on site

Requirements for the Mechanical Fitter

• Time-served / recognised apprenticeship (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering subject
• Experience working in a mechanical fitter role previously, ideally in a similar industry
• Ability to and experience of working to a fast pace, ideally confident in a manufacturing environment.
