As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you would be a major cog in the wheel to ensure the prevention and eliminate the technical problems on a busy site. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the manufacturing facility utilising both your mechanical and electrical expertise so being qualified in both of these would be ideal as well as experience within the FMCG sector.

I suppose you want to know your responsibilities…?

• You will be managing and closing out all equipment failures, work orders and PPM jobs.
• Targets are met using the appropriate technical support in the correction, prevention, and elimination of problems.
• Show a real team ethos within the Engineering department and across other departments, with your electrical and mechanical experience.

Successful candidates will be excellent fault finders and have strong mechanical skills with a good working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and PLC's. They will also be expected to accurately record all maintenance work using our computerised maintenance system so strong computer skills are a must.

The Engineering department is crucial to the efficient running of the site and therefore applicants will be required to demonstrate excellent communication skills when liaising with internal departments and external contractors and have a flexible and proactive approach to ensure the overall needs of the business are met. Ideally applicants will have direct experience of working with food processing and packaging equipment, however familiarisation training on this specialist equipment can be provided for the right candidate.
