If you’re seeking a role with genuine ownership and accountability then this could be right up your street! How about a business which isn’t in a mess, isn’t going through cultural change and will give you the opportunity to establish a Lean culture across the site – again this could be a “bit of you”! Did I mention it was also growing?!
I’m keen on speaking with Production Managers who have the ability and dynamism to take a well performing Night Shift Operation onto the next level – there will be some quick wins but overall this is going to be about implementing a long term, robust manufacturing strategy.
Of Graduate calibre ideally, I want to be speaking with the best of the best - the high performers - who are operating at Production Manager / Night Shift Manager / Factory Manager Level. This role isn’t for everyone and whilst the site isn’t in need of turning around it is by no means an easy opportunity or a caretaking role. You will report into the Factory Manager who has a strong background within the industry, a strong lean knowledge so knows what “good looks like”. He isn’t interested in micro managing or hand holding – he wants, and expects someone to grab it by the horns and really run with it.
Preferably you will come from chilled food manufacturing environment, and it goes without saying you will be able to tick the following boxes - â–¡ ‘can do attitude’, â–¡ communicate effectively at all levels, â–¡ ambitious etc etc. Overall you will be person who enjoys taking on challenges and responsibilities and wanting to play a strong part in a strong, dynamic management team.
