In a trend that has continued since our inception in 2013, 2019 has been a fast-paced year at The Sterling Choice, and as we look ahead to 2020, there are no plans to slow down.

There are exciting strategies in place to continue to expand the business, including moving to a new office. To support this growth, we are looking for more talented individuals working in the business, alongside our incredible established team.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, we don’t always look to employ people that have come from a recruitment background. Some of our top performing employees have joined us from careers in telesales, real estate and hospitality.

In fact, Joe Wickison, who was recently promoted to Senior Recruitment Consultant, joined us in 2015 as an apprentice, from a role as a bartender.

The training here has enabled me to go from bartender to recruiter over the last few years and I now enjoy looking after my own specific market within the business. We are looking for highly-motivated individuals that strive to continually learn and expand their experience and skill-set. We believe in supporting our employees and have developed a comprehensive induction programme that lasts for six months. All employees have access to a recruitment ‘bible’ that we have invested heavily in.

Weekly one-to-one meetings are scheduled with all staff to ensure they feel confident, motivated and content in their roles.

We insist on regular team events, some of the venues that we have entertained our team at this year, includes the Duck and Waffle and German Gymnasium.
