The Sterling Choice rolls out new profit-share scheme for employees

Despite the odds faced in 2020, our business has gone from strength to strength and we wanted to go the extra mile to thank our team.

We have just announced that we will be rolling out a profit-share scheme for all company employees. This scheme will sit alongside an already-competitive list of company benefits that includes up 50% commission, car allowance and further incentives for high achievers.

All of our employees will now benefit from 30% of all post-tax profits being shared equally among every member of the business, including pro-rata payments for those that work part-time or have been with the business less than 12 months.

Our Director and co-founder, Lukas Vanterpool explains the reasons behind this new offering, “When we decided to start the business, we always wanted to reward our people beyond the standard offering.  The profit share is the final straw when it comes to what benefits we can offer.

Our business is all about accountability, we want the team to hold themselves and their peers to account, it shouldn’t just be Gareth or myself.  One of our values is ‘Shared Success’, the profit share drives a culture where the team are working towards the success of their peers as much as their own.”

We have continued to grow throughout the COVID19 global pandemic, on-boarding four new team members and experiencing an all-time high in morale, despite the difficult circumstances. We put this down to having great people in the business and a unique culture that you will rarely find in a recruitment/sales environment.

The Sterling Choice was founded by Lukas Vanterpool and Gareth Whyatt in 2013 and has gone from strength to strength, now working with the biggest and best names in the food manufacturing and FMCG industries.

Both directors attribute this to the efforts of the team and a focus on training, they also say that new team members without any recruitment experience has helped growth.

Recruitment is down to the connection you can forge with people, whether that is the client or the candidate.

We have found that sometimes its people without recruitment experience that perform at the highest level, so we often recruit from outside the industry and instead look at those working in sales and hospitality Our focus is people who have customer-facing experience and are 100% comfortable having conversations from people from all walks.

The rest about recruitment we can teach – you can’t teach human connection.”

We are always on the lookout for talented, hard-working and accountable people to join our fast-growing business. If you are interested in learning more about working for The Sterling Choice, you can contact Lukas or Gareth via our Contact Us page.
